Aimee Garcia and Freddie Prinze Jr. star in a rom-com about a burnt-out pop star who agrees to meet a small-town fan and finds inspiration for a hit holiday tune, plus a chance at true love.

Dead to Me,Season 3

Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini are back in their superb black comedy about a widow (Applegate) who grieves the hit-and-run death of her husband and befriends Cardellini’s character in an emotional support group, unaware that her new friend was the fatal driver. Things get even weirder and tenser in this, the final season.

Tim Burton presents the saga of the Addams family’s teenage Nevermore Academy student Wednesday (Jenna Ortega), who tries to grow up, master her psychic powers, stop a killing spree and solve a lingering mystery about her parents (Luis Guzmán as Gomez and Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia; Fred Armisen is Uncle Fester). Previous Wednesday Christina Ricci plays the new Wednesday’s Nevermore teacher Marilyn Thornhill.

Julia Roberts andCourtney B. Vance play a couple in ritzy Westchester whose son (Lucas Hedges) shows up on Christmas Eve on a 24-hour leave from drug rehab. She can’t let him out of her fiercely protective sight — did he stash drugs someplace before rehab? — and she seesaws between elation at seeing him apparently healthy, and terror that he’s not.
