Nintendo Music is pure unfiltered ass anyway here's the people who make ppl's childhoods better.
It is just a quick overview, not an extensive library of who made Gooning Rangers theme song from splatoon 8. It is quite long tho looking at it from a certain angle...
Sound teams used to be separate, but since 2015 they merged. It's kinda like SEGA in 2020 which made random bs like the Space Harrier composer in Like a Dragon possible

YUKIO KANEOKA (1981 - 1991)
Nintendo's very first composer. Although he is more of a sound engineer, but that was same thing on some poor little arcade.
He has has worked on the music for Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr. and Mario Bros. most notably. That man is alive hopefully.
HIROKAZU TANAKA. EX (1981 - 1999)
One of the key figures in chiptune music during the early VGM days, he was sadly forced to leave the company to make the... japanese Pokémon openings and become CEO at Creatures, Inc. Okk

KOJI KONDO (1984 - Present)
Koji Kondo may have made the Mario theme LOL. Ok no joke what about this behemoth? As one of Nintendo's first in-house composers, during the NES era he was juggled between Akito Nakatsuka and Hirokazu Tanaka. ex between the smaller titles. Of course that was on the side, as he was in charge of Nintendo's flagship titles. After Mario Sunshine / Majora's Mask, his contribution to soundtracks was reduced to a dozen tracks at most per title; the Mario Maker series seems to break mold, his number of tracks reach as far as 2 digits! Mario Wonder might be another.
------------------
Highlights:
⚫20th century notable solo (except Majora's Mask) works include:
-Super Mario Bros. 1 / 2 / 3 / World / World 2 / 64
-Zelda 1 / A Link to the Past / OoT / Majora's Mask (Battle themes by Toru Minegishi, but he did the Majora battle tracks)
⚫ He laid the groundwork for Star Fox 64 with the "basic" music:
-Main Theme
-Menus and Fanfares (Versus Selection, Game Over, Staff Roll, etc.)
While uncredited, he did a similar thing in Pilotwings, composing the Helicopter theme for the main composer to base her work on. While unconfirmed, he probably did the same with Star Fox on SNES (BOSS CORNERIA, ASTEROID BELT are my guesses)
⚫Mario Sunshine onwards, his couple of compositions seem popular. Exemples include:
-Delfino Plaza, Bianco Hills, Gelato Beach, Ricco Harbor (Super Mario Sunshine)
-Overworld (New Super Mario Bros.) & Athletic (unconfirmed)
-Good Egg Galaxy, Rosalina in the Observatory (Super Mario Galaxy) rest of OST by Mahito Yokota
-Starship Mario, Yoshi Star Galaxy (Super Mario Galaxy 2)
-Chain-Link Charge, Sunshine Seaside (Super Mario 3D World)
-Title (Super Mario Maker). He also made the new Underground arrangement for SMB1 maps, he likely made Edit arrangements for the majority of styles
-Steam Gardens, Forgotten Isle, Bowser Castle (Super Mario Odyssey)
⚫For Super Mario Bros. Wonder, he likely made the Overworld/Athletic/Underground trio. There's the final boss and some Wonder Flower music though I'm not completely sure about those. He goes uncredited for music composition btw but he said he made music.
⚫He made no more than 5 music tracks for Zelda after Majora's Mask
-The Legendary Hero, Grandma (Zelda: Wind Waker)
-A Tale of Old (Zelda: Skyward Sword)
-Ending (Zelda: Spirit Tracks), he hasn't composed Zelda music since.

⚫She composed all the music from Pilotwings except "Helicopter", where this time she brought Koji Kondo in to help with one track.
KENJI YAMAMOTO (1987 - Present)
Like Koji Kondo, his first work was Punch-Out, but its more popular release, the one with actual music and not short fanfares. He certainly hasn't been active in recent years either; actually he hasn't made a lot of music in general. But what he did fucked.

-Brinstar (Smash Brawl) is the same track from Metroid Pinball on DS with vocals
-Metroid Prime Menu (Smash Brawl) adds a background guitar at certain points but it's the same track
-DK:CR Main Theme (Smash 4) is the same track with vocals
So, he hasn't made game music since Donkey Kong Country Returns seemingly. He might return for Prime 4?
RYOJI YOSHITOMI (1989 - Present)
Much more in the role of supervising sound than actually making it. He's the guy that gave Wario's its most iconic musical identity imo. His music wasn't especially complex or catchy, but they always work very well in the context of the game. You may see what I mean with a few exemples.
-----------------
Highlights:
⚫ F-1 Race on Game Boy is presumably his first work. He's listed in the canadian copyright database with Kazumi Totaka, but he might have just assisted with sounds. I think he may have made the music for the menu and races. He solo composed Game Boy Wars shortly afterwards.
⚫Sole composer of Metroid II: Return of Samus (real atmospheric for the game boy sound chip)
⚫Small contribution to Mario Paint: Data Robot? (unconfirmed)
⚫Sole composer of Wario Land 4, very wacky. He also helped with some music in the first Wario Land.
⚫Main composer for the first WarioWare
-Drifting Away A.K.A Dribble's Highway Jazz, Wario's Everything Company

NAOTO ISHIDA (1990 - ????)
He has not done any music, as he is sound engineer... Ah yes, he's done Big Blue and the Ending music from F-Zero. He's now working a suit job elsewhere but he has enough material to brag until retirement.
KAZUMI TOTAKA (1990 - Present)
Quirky little character who voices Yoshi, Birdo, E. Gadd, Captain Olimar and K.K. from Animal Crossing. He also inserts a short leitmotif aptly called Totaka's Song into various games he's involved in. But that's just the tip of the iceberg

-Title from Happy Home Designer (Smash Ultimate)
TARO BANDO (1992 - Present)
He did all the music for Mole Mania and did every song in F-Zero X except for 4 of them. Like, he did Climb Up and Get the Last Chance and a guitar arrangement of Rainbow Road and that's cool but then he stopped making music. He's still doing sound production like SFX and supervision.

⚫ He made SFX for Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition after 13 years of no music. It's not really music but, well it's worth noting I thunk
KENTA NAGATA (1996 - Present)
He's someone who doesn't really have a strong style imo but he always brings quality to the table. At the age of 25 he made MK64 Rainbow Road and that is feel like mario rn!
-----------------
Highlights:
⚫ Worked as the sole composer for Mario Kart 64 and 1080° Snowboarding.

⚫ After a bit experience on mainline Mario games with providing the music for Super Mario 64 DS minigames, he worked on New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
-New overworld, Volcano Overworld, World 1

He was also the sole composer of New Super Mario Bros. 2. Data files from the Super Mario Run website also reveals he made the Remix 10 related music, but it's unlikely he made the rest of the soundtrack.

TORU MINEGISHI (1998 - Present)
Employeed a bit after the wave of new blood for the N64 era in 1996. While he wanted to be Kondo's protegee and started of as such, he went on to have his own style, shaping the Splatoon series to be the most modern of Nintendo sounds as of now. I guess he also voices Petey Piranha? It's funny how many composers voice the recurring Mario characters that don't speak.

SHINOBU NAGATA (2000 - Present)
Presumably Kenta Nagata's wife... but also very good at this composing thing. But it turns out she's inconsistent in when she'll do something. Well, at least she's still semi-active.

Some tracks like Space Junk and Final Battle with Bowser combine both midi and orchestra. He also did orchestral arrangement for the two tracks from Koji Kondo, so he produced all the music.
