In the second round of the 2025 FIDE World Cup, 21 players secured wins in game one and are just a draw away from advancing to round three. The top players showcased their skills on the boards, including GMs Arjun Erigaisi, Vincent Keymer, Wei Yi, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave. GM Richard Rapport won the Game of the Day with Black, defeating GM Luis Supi.
